David P Sach – B.Sc(Hons)MCSP OCPPP – Proprietor / Chartered Physiotherapist Registered with the Health Professions Council

David graduated from Brunel University with a B.Sc. (Hons) in physiotherapy. He was also awarded the prestigious ‘Paul Standing Memorial Award’ for best Student in Clinical Placements.

He gained experience as a senior physiotherapist whilst working in the NHS in areas of Orthopaedics, Neurology, Respiratory, general medicine & surgery. His last post was in out-patients and through his time in the NHS he established a Physiotherapy clinic in the private sector.

In 2009/10 David gained a diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and in 2010/11 a Masters degree module in Injection Therapy for all Musculo-skeletal conditions.

Nicola Hart – M.Sc(Hons)MCSP – Chartered Physiotherapist Registered with the Health Professions Council

Nicola started working at Oakfield Clinic in November 2010, after qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2008. Since completing MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) degree at University of Essex, Nicola has gained NHS experience in musculoskeletal outpatients, amputees, orthopaedics, intermediate care rehabilitation centres, acute medicine, cardio-respiratory, neurology and oncology. Prior to this  completed a BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention degree at Middlesex University.

Nicola`s qualifications and experience has lead to comprehensive treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions and rehabilitation and is very keen on continuing Professional Development to enhance her skills providing the most recent evidence based practice

Paul Christmas – B.Sc(Hons)MCSP – Chartered Physiotherapist Registered with the Health Professions Council

Paul graduated from Northumbria University in 2005 with a Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and has also gained an ITEC diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage. From there he went to work for the NHS as a musculo-skeletal therapist.

He was part of the Helston Community Hospital physio outpatients team that won the award for the ‘Adopt, Adapt and Improve’ category at the prestigious NHS Health and Social Care awards for the South-West region in 2008. Paul was subsequently involved in the complete redesign for the delivery of physiotherapy throughout Cornwall.

Paul’s interest in sports including football, rugby, athletics, cross-country and cricket has seen him build up excellent experience, knowledge in the prevention and treatment of sports injuires.

David Goyette – B.Sc(Hons)SRCh MChS – Podiatrist Registered with the Health Professions Council

David graduated from University College London and the London Foot Hospital in 1997

He divides his time between private practice at Oakfield and working within a busy NHS surgical unit as a Trainee in Podiatric Surgery. As part of his surgical training he is working towards a Masters degree in Podiatric Surgery.

David has a keen interest in all aspects of Podiatric medicine, utilising the most evidenced based treatments.

As well as treatment of routine foot problems David undertakes biomechanical evaluation and orthotic prescription. He is able to provide management of the “at risk” foot i.e. Diabetic foot pathology. Performs surgery on ingrown nails and utilise injection therapy techniques i.e. Steroid and Ostenil.

Fiona Rigby – B.Sc(Hons)SRCh MChS – Chiropodist Registered with the Health Professions Council

Fiona graduated fromUniversityofEast London with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine.

Registered with the Health Professions Council she has a keen interest in all aspects of foot health in adults and children. Working within the NHS and private practice Fiona treats a varied spectrum of patients.

Fiona is soon to be undertaking a Post graduate certificate in Forensic Podiatry and is also looking to specialise further in Podiatric Medicine by undertaking a Masters degree.

Fiona treats all foot conditions within the clinic including minor surgery to treat in-growing toenails.

Victoria Palmer - B Ed.(Hons) – Physical Education, LSSM (Dip) M.I.S.R.M - Sports & Remedial Massage Practitioner

Victoria studied at the University of Greenwich and graduated with a teaching degree in Physical Education. She went onto teach for 8 years at a local primary school and had the responsibility for co-ordinating P.E.

More recently Victoria studied at the London School of Sports Massage and qualified as a sports and remedial massage therapist in January 2008. She has since worked as a therapist and joined the Oakfield Clinic permanently in June 2009.

Heather Day – LSSM (Dip) M.I.S.R.M – Sports & Remedial Massage Practitioner

Heather has been part of the sports and remedial massage team since august 2010. She trained at the London school of sports massage and qualified in Jan 2009.

She stared working at local Rugbyclubs until she took up a post at the clinic.  Heather also studied at DMU Bedford where she achieved a Bsc hon in Sports Studies and a PGCE in Teaching Secondary physical Education. This lead Heather into teaching 11-19 year olds in a school for 4 years before she moved to teaching 16-19 year olds at a local sixth form for the past 6 years. Heather teach’s Sports massage as part of the BTEC Sport and Sport Science courses and Anatomy and Physiology at A level.

Her clients range from those enjoying the benefits of deep tissue massage, people with everyday aches and pains, postural problems and those partaking in recreational and competitive sports. Heather’s ambitions at the clinic are to stay part of such a diverse and integral team working with the other disciplines to improve the patient’s experience and quality of treatment.

Nicky Carvell – ITEC Level 3 – Sports & Remedial Massage Practitioner

 In 2004 Nicky decided to travel and whilst in Thailand attended a two week Thai Massage course. Nicky enjoyed this so much when returning to the UK in 2005, studied Beauty leading onto Swedish massage. Additional courses followed including Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy.

In 2006 whilst working with Steiner Cruise liners trained in Deep Tissue massage and as a Hot Stone Therapist, taking Nicky to work on a 6 star Cruise ship sailing around the world.  Once again on Nicky’s return she went into further studies, Sports Massage ITEC Level 3 and in September 2009 qualified leading her to work alongside a Physiotherapist for the Barking Rugby 1st team for two seasons.

Nicky is currently studying Level 5 in Sports and Remedial massage & hopes to qualify this year, going onto furthering her career and experience with Oakfield Clinic.

Juggy Johal – B.Sc. LSSM (Dip) ISRM                                                           Sports & Remedial Massage Practitioner – Remedial & Structural Bodywork & Sports Nutritionist Adviser.

Lisa Gouge – City & Guilds – Relaxation & Beauty Therapist

Lisa has been working as a Beauty Therapist for over 20 years. She trained at Thurrock Technical College in Grays. Her first Salon was based in London where her clients ranged from people within the Media to the High Courts. She has worked with Celebrities over the years.

She worked in Bentalls at Lakeside, starting off as a Therapist progressing onto Head Therapist then Assistant Manager. She started her own Beauty Practice providing treatments from Guinot Facials, Jessica Manicures / Pedicures, Fake Bake Tanning, Lava Shells Massage, Waxing and Eye Treatments. She then went on to become a Beauty Lecturer at South Essex College, teaching on a Part Time basis. Lisa continually updates her Professional Skills attending various courses each year such as Non Surgical Facelifts, Spray Tanning, Lash Extensions.

She would like to continue with her Professional Development learning treatments such as Indian Head Massage, Threading and also new and up coming treatments.

Stuart Frost – CDT.RCS.ENG MDTA RDCP – Denturist

Stuart has worked some 25 years in the dental laboratory profession constructing dentures and crown and bridge appliances, and has added to this vast knowledge by qualifying as a dental clinician with the Royal college of surgeons . This enables him to supply dentures to his patients from start to finish. Although clinical dental technicians are relatively new to these shores, in canada and Australia among other countries it is not new practice.

Stuart is one of only a few clinical dental technicians operating in the uk and we are delighted to be able to offer this service to our patients. ” I think this is a very important part of the dental jigsaw, I work very closely with my dental colleagues and at the end of the day all we aim for is patient satisfaction and managing patients expectations.I am especially delighted to be working closely with my implant surgeon so that we can offer a solution to the common problem of loose bottom dentures.
